Meet Abbey
Certified Professional Coach
Your story is an inside job -
know it, own it, change it, share it.
I know what it is like to be staring at or be swept up by a big change - changing jobs or careers, losing loved ones, going through a divorce, moving across the globe, being a single parent, going back to school, starting your own business, sending a child away to college - these are some of the big life transitions I have been through. I have struggled and succeeded, I have faced despair as well as breathtaking joy, gratitude and grace on my way. I have learned a lot through my experiences as well as the amazing teachers and guides I have had as friends, counselors, coaches, authors and speakers who have deeply influenced me.
My desire to learn and grow, heal from trauma, embrace my power, find my voice, gain wisdom and inspire others along the way lead me on the path of personal development and ultimately becoming a Certified Professional Coach through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) in 2017. As a life and career coach, I empower people to gain clarity, reconnect with their passion and purpose, build inner strength and resilience, and pursue their goals and dreams with confidence.
My strength is to empower people through coaching during life and career transitions and help them own their story - know it, love it, change it, share it. Let’s talk about your story.

Client Stories
Coaching for Productivity
“I have found working with Abbey to be very helpful in my busy litigation practice. We discuss concrete action steps that I often take during the sessions themselves, as well as best practices for organization and time management. I appreciate that Abbey makes the sessions interactive and collaborative, and I highly recommend her!”

Coaching through Change
“I recently took on a new role in my company. At the same time my daughter moved out and started college, and the changes seemed a bit too big to swallow. I reached out to Abbey for coaching. She has been enormously helpful by encouraging me look at different perspectives, find my purpose again and regain my strength and motivation. Abbey was invaluable in helping me redefine my goals, chart my course, and providing me with tools I could use every day to remain focused on what I wanted to achieve. Our coaching sessions inspired me to use more coaching with my own team at work as well as develop my inner coach and use that in building a new level of relationship with my daughter whom I see less often now. Thank you, Abbey, for the support and inspiration!”

The Confidence to Step Forward
“Abbey was my coach through the Stepping Forward program I completed while studying at UC Riverside. The goal of the program was to improve soft skills and prepare us for a successful career and life after graduation. I chose to work on my communication skills and after completing the program, I volunteered to teach my French Cinema class and I did it! I was able to overcome my fear of talking in front of a large group of people, have confidence in what I was presenting, engage with my peers, and stay on topic for over an hour! After my lecture, the professor was asking me how I was able to stay on topic and if I had lectured before. Before my coaching sessions with Abbey, I don’t think I would have had the confidence and drive to “step forward” to teach a class. I am so grateful to Abbey for teaching us these lessons and techniques, and for guiding us through our goals and ideas!”

New Start in the US
“Even though I had 18 years of international experience, I was new to the US employment market and struggling landing my first job here. I was looking for a jump start and Abbey gave it to me. I enlisted the help of Abbey through referral from a friend, and I had an excellent experience from start to finish. Abbey was very knowledgeable helping me improve my resume, she had some great suggestions and helpful insights. During my search, she encouraged me and checked in with me, I used to say that she is giving me the power of confidence in interviews and in my career search, especially for that critical time at the beginning of my life in the US. Very patient and great communicator, Abbey prepared me for my interview through career coaching and I was able to land that job with the magic answers on the most common questions we had practiced. Thank you again, Abbey, for all the help!”

Achieving What I Wanted
“I was a senior in college when I had Abbey as a coach for the Stepping Forward program. As a student preparing to graduate, responsibilities amounted. The pressure to maintain motivation in my studies, finding a job, and deciding what exactly I wanted to do with my life in the upcoming years could no longer be put off. At the time my course of action was rather laissez-faire. It was based on a whim – if I felt productive, I put in some effort; if I didn't, I procrastinated. This strategy, albeit poor and inefficient, was readily adopted by me. In the Stepping Forward program, I learnt two major things that helped me overcome this: a new approach towards pursuing my goals as well as some much needed introspection. These acquisitions played a significant role in my course of action at the time and the outcome achieved. I was able to reflect and find out what job I truly wanted, prepare myself for it, and finally get hired. Throughout the program, there were many times where I would have felt lacking in motivation, but the extra insight, advice, and push from Abbey helped me overcome my previous habits and achieve what I set out to do.”
